Thomas Joseph Walsh, 93, of Elizabeth Township, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, March 31, 2018. He was born March 10, 1925 in Glassport and was the son of the late Joseph and Genevieve (Altmiller) Walsh. He was the husband of the late Nancy Rae (Brady) Walsh who died December 7, 2007. Thomas was a member of St. Angela Merici Parish in White Oak, Knights of Columbus Council No. 10077 Elizabeth, and was a volunteer for St. Vincent de Paul. He was a member, president and business agent for IBW Local 1919 for over 40 years. Thomas was a "Father Figure" to many. He was a US Army Air Force Veteran of WWII. For his service he received the Good Conduct Medal, American Campaign Medal, WWII Victory Medal, and the European African Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with 1 Bronze Star. He is survived by daughters, Stephanie L. Walsh of McKeesport, Kathleen A. Burd of Elizabeth Township, son, Timothy J. (Mary E.) Walsh of Niceville, FL, grandchildren, Kelly M. Walsh, Eileen R. Walsh, Anna M. Walsh, Zachary D. Burd and Shauna M. Burd nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his infant son Thomas Leo Walsh and brothers and sisters including Mary Lou, Eileen and Michael.
