Stephen J. "Bud" Columbus

Stephen J. "Bud" Columbus, 88, of New Eagle, passed away Tuesday, January 26, 2021. He was born in Monongahela, March 21, 1932 and was the son of the late Stephen and Mary (Todd) Columbus. Stephen worked at Monongahela Ford as a parts manager and at Davies & Tregembo Ford in Charleroi as a car and snowmobile salesman. He was an avid fan of NASCAR, as he also used to race cars back in the 1950's. He enjoyed watching college football, playing Euchre, hunting, golfing, bowling, being outdoors and was active in a senior softball league in Ocala, FL. He is survived by his grandson, Jacob Columbus, of California, PA, daughter-in-law, Kathi Columbus, of Eighty-Four, sister-in-law, Hannah Jane Columbus, of Bethel Park, nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sons, Stephen and Robert Columbus, brothers, Frank (Dorothy) Columbus, and Russell Columbus, sister, Eleanor (Lin) Dalton, longtime companion, Dolores Cheroki of Monesson, and former wife, Catherine Steinmetz.
