Samantha Lee Kalkbrenner

Samantha Lee Kalkbrenner, 15, of Dravosburg, passed away Wednesday, September 20, 2023. She was born April 24, 2008 in Oceanside, CA., and is the daughter of Carl Lee and Nenita (San Martin) Kalkbrenner of Dravosburg. Samantha was a sophomore and cheerleader at Serra Catholic High School in McKeesport. She was a member of St. Thomas The Apostle Parish- St. Therese Church in Munhall where she was also an Alter Server and very active in the Youth Group. She was also a member of St. Agnes Church and attended St. Therese School. She was a volunteer at the Appalachia Work Camp and Portals of Fear Haunted School and loved to dance at Steel City Academy of Dance. Her mother was her favorite home cook chef. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her brothers, Carl "Baby Boy" Kalkbrenner and Nic Kalkbrenner, grandmothers Mary Kalkbrenner and Georgette Bemesderfer, Great-grandmother, Honorata San Martin, Godparents, Mike and Roena Joe, and Lalaine and Jeff Tanner, aunts, Laura Tkac, Shari Segady, and Michelle Segady, uncle, Ernie (Meri) Segady,and Dante San Martin, God Sister, Kaitlyn Joe, cousins, Amanda (Beau) Balco and their daughter, Remi. Danielle LaRue and children, Torianna, Sedona, and Joshua, Tyler LaRue, James LaRue, Donny (Julie) LaRue, Travis (Carol) Haberjak, Devin Cromer, Kayla Segady, Dan Pfeffer, Lisa Zirngibl and her children, Austin and Alysa, Boogie, Tsok, Gia, Brix, and Nina, adopted grandparents, Jim and Suzanne Bevan, boyfriend, Tyler Sapida and his family, best friends, Alyssa Bevan, Delena Galiyas, and Hannah Oleyar, favorite lunch lady, Donna Piontka, extended families, Bevan, GoGo, Polanowski, Galiya, Oleyar, Sharome Urbano, Barnea. Friends are welcome Saturday, September 23, 2023 from 4-8 pm and Sunday, September 24, 2023 from 2-8 pm at the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 1638 Lincoln Way, White Oak (412) 672-6322 Troy J. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, September 25, 2023 at 11 am at St. Thomas The Apostle Parish-St. Therese Church, 1 Saint Therese Court, Munhall 15120 (EVERYONE PLEASE MEET AT THE CHURCH).
