Ruth H. Malos

Ruth H. Malos, 93, of Port Vue, passed away Monday, March 17, 2025, in the care and love of her family. She was born November 11, 1931 in McKeesport and was the daughter of the late Andrew and Catherine (Kuk) Osolinski Englert. She was the loving wife of the late Dennis J. Malos, who passed away March 31, 2021. Ruth may have earned a high school diploma, but she had a Master's Degree from the University of Life. She worked for over 20 years for The Pittsburgh Leadership Foundation, where she embraced the work of CLEAR (The Coalition for Leadership, Education and Advocacy for Recovery). Ruth was not all work, and no play. She enjoyed many active years playing tennis with her husband and friends, golf with the ladies at Butler's, and movies just about every weekend with Judy. She was a great cook and enjoyed gardening. She was an awesome Mom, Nana and Aunt, not only to her biological family, but to others as well.

She is survived by daughter, Denise DeStefino-Cohen; grandson, Jason S. Malos, who she adored; devoted nieces and nephews and caring neighbors. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Jay A. Malos; brothers, Chester Englert, Edward and August Osolinski; sister-in-law, Lois Shranatan and their respective spouses. She requested no public visitation or service.
