Richard John Tarsala, 76, of McKeesport, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, December 23, 2023. he was born March 27, 1947 in Braddock and was the son of the late John Andrew and Ruth (Nemanick) Tarsala. Richard was a member of First Evangelical Free Church, McKeesport, and strived to live his life by his favorite Bible verse, Galations 2:20. He retired from Ikon Office Solutions. He was a US Air Force Veteran serving during the Vietnam War. He enjoyed fishing, playing Volleyball and Softball, and belonged to the Norwin Senior Softball association and Norwin Senior Volleyball & Basketball association. He loved attending his grandchildren's sporting events and performance's, and always taking them where they needed to be. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Sharon (Raymer) Tarsala, daughters, Cindi Higdon, Amy (Rob) Chambers, and Jayme (Justin) Schmidt Fazek of McKeesport and Wendy (Brian) Forrest of Port Vue, grandchildren, Caleb, Haylie, Jonah, Jace, Colby, Amelia, Brianne, Alex, Ben and Eric, brother, Ronald Tarsala of Latrobe, , sister, Joan Cochran of Herminie, and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Alyson Higdon and son-in-law, Joseph Higdon.
