Rev. Paul L. Voida

The Rev. Paul Lewis Voida, 59, of Christy Park, died Monday April 17, 2017. He was born September 17, 1957 in Los Angeles, CA, and was the son of the late Louis and Elaine Olah Voida. Father Voida was a Priest for the Romanian Catholic Diocese of Canton, Ohio and served at St. Mary's Romanian Church in Christy Park since May of 2006. He was a graduate of the California State University, Fullerton with a Teacher's Degree in Music and later graduated from Saints Cyril and Methodius Seminary in Pittsburgh in 2001. He is survived by his sisters, Marie Baron of CO, and Lisa Dicks of Pittsburgh, nieces, Natalie, Angela, and Andrea, and nephews, John, Nicholas, Joshua, Peter and Luke. Father Voida will be greatly missed by his family and the St. Mary's Romanian Parish family. Visitation will be held in St. Mary's Romanian Church on Wednesday April 19 from 12 noon to 8 pm. Vigil Service will be held Wednesday at 7:30 pm. Divine Liturgy for the parishioners of St. Mary's Romanian Church will be held in the church on Thursday April 20, at 10 am followed by Funeral Liturgy at St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church at 12 noon.
