Reverend Grace C. (Troise) McGrew, 94 of Greensburg, formerly of Clairton, passed away on Tuesday, July 23, 2019 after a long illness. She was born to Dominic and Angeline (Vescia) Troise on November 26, 1924 in Pittsford, Vermont. A loving mother to Joyce (James) Bucy, Anthony (Kathy) McGrew, Robert (Linda) McGrew, Phyllis (Tom) Martino, and Kenneth (Sandy) McGrew. Grace was a remarkable cook who enjoyed preparing meals for her family; including her 9 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren. Grace received her Bachelors degree from California University at Pennsylvania and her Masters degree from Duquesne University. She was a retired school teacher and principal who enjoyed her work with a variety of students in the West Jefferson Hills School District. Grace was also a devoted Christian and became an ordained minister from Greater Works Bible School. She continued to serve those around her. She was able to go on mission trips to Barbados, India and Israel. On these trips she was able to combine her love of teaching and religion by training nuns to teach children and she continued to care for the sick. Grace also had the opportunity to be baptized in the Jordan river. Throughout her life, Grace nourished people with her love and faith. She worked as a volunteer at Channel 40, praying for the sick and suffering. There is no visitation. Private service and burial will be in Round Hill Cemetery, Elizabeth Township.
