Mildred "Midge" Turner

Mildred "Midge" Turner, 88, of Mercer, formerly of Greenock, died Sunday May 28, 2017, peacefully at home surrounded by her family. She was born December 12, 1928 in Davy, WV, and was the daughter of the late David H. and Nellie C. Duncan McClure. She was the wife of the late Jim R. Turner who died January 12, 2000. Midge was a member of the Greenock United Methodist Church and was a Teacher's Assistant at the former Pre-School for Exceptional Children in White Oak. She was a Registered Nurse. She is survived by her sons, Jimmie R. (Beth) Turner, II., of Mercer and David E. (Angie) Turner of Beckley, WV, daughter, Mary Catherine (Michael) Potochny of Greenock, brother, Walter V. (Dea) McClure of Rocky Mount, VA, grandsons, Jimmie (Jennifer), Richard (Amy), Jeremy (Ashleigh), Jonathan (Nikalee) Turner and Michael (Alyssa) Potochny;  great-grandchildren, Tori, Josiah, Hope, Judah, Jedidiah, and Jacob; Isaiah, Caeden, Elias, and Adelyn;  Jax;  Paisley and Matherly;  and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Jim, Orman, David and Lance McClure, sister, Marjorie McClure and great-granddaughter, Rileigh Elizabeth Turner.
