Michael Andrew Lynch, Sr.

First born of the late Clyde “Andrew” and Dorothy (Robertson) Lynch, Mike Lynch Sr. of Pitcairn, passed away Wednesday, August 23, 2023.
Mike fell in love at first sight at age 9 with a curly red-headed girl.  At age 18, he married that love, Laura M. Lynch, and started his family.  He proudly served in The United States Army. He went on to work for 35 years at The Chelsea Building Products as a master technician.  Proud, humble, with a twinkle of mischief in his Irish eyes encompassed who he was.  He loved his family, NASCAR, the Steelers and Notre Dame Football.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Laura; sons, Michael (Christina) Lynch, Jr., and Keith (Jill) Lynch; daughter, Karie Lynch; daughter-in-law, Stephanie Lynch; and numerous “honorary” kids from the neighborhood.
Proud grandfather of 6 and great-grandfather of 6 more. He is also survived by his brothers, Danny Lynch and John (Tammy) Lynch; sisters, Theresa Cosgrove, Ruth (Stephen) McCulley and Leecinda (David) Liller; sisters-in law, Fran (Clay) Gross, Joyce Whipkey, and Patricia Ray; brother-in-law, Paul (Lynn) Ray and many many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Lisa Lynch and brother-in-law, Dale Whipkey.
There will be no visitation.  A celebration of life will be held Sunday, November 5, 2023 from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm at The Pitcairn Firehall #1, 100 South Center Avenue, Pitcairn, PA 15140.
