Mary Elizabeth " Betsy" Tubbs

Mary Elizabeth "Betsy" Tubbs, 78, of Elizabeth Township, died Saturday, April 8, 2017. She was born December 10, 1938 in McKeesport and was the daughter of the late Thomas and Catherine Skiffington Martin. She was the wife of the late Thomas A. Tubbs who died December 31, 1987. She was a member of St. Patrick Parish in Christy Park and was previously a member of the former St. Denis Catholic Church in Versailles. Betsy was a cook for the Sisters of the Divine Redeemer Mother House in Elizabeth Township and retired after 25 years of service. She loved her neighbors on Hillview Drive. To know Betsy was to love her. She is survived by her daughters, Susan (Patrick) O'Brien and Sharon White of Bethel Park, son, Sean (Sharon) Tubbs of Hempfield, brother; James "Mickey" (Marian) Martin of FL; twin-sister, Patricia "Patsy" Christeson of Elizabeth Township; sisters-in-law, Dee Martin and Claudine Tubbs; grandchildren, Patrick and Lauren O'Brien, Ryan and Tyler Tubbs, and Nicholas and Nicole White; great-granddaughter, Arianna White; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother; Thomas Martin, brother-in-law; Chris Christeson, and grandchildren; John and Steve Tubbs.
