Margaret D. Kern

Margaret D. Kern, 90, of Greenock, died Wednesday, September 13, 2017. She was born December 20, 1926 in Pittsburgh and was the daughter of the late Joseph and Rena Bullister Donnelly. She was the wife of the late Albion Ray Kern who died February 1, 2002. Together they owned and operated the former Sunray Pools in McKeesport. She had previously worked in the accounting department of the former Carnegie Tech in Oakland. She is survived by her son, Gary R. (Shelley) Kern of Elizabeth Township, daughters, Janet (Dean) Harbry of Atlanta, GA, and Karen Greenwald of Greenock, grandchildren, Heather, Amber, Zoe, Shannon, Evan, Ryan, Liam, Erin, Megan, Kern, and Keith, 12 great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Patricia Kern who died August 19, 1987 and her brother, Joseph Donnelly, Jr. Friends are welcome Friday, September 15 from 2-4 and 6-8:00 pm at the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 6028 Smithfield Street, Boston, Elizabeth Township.
