Lois A. Gillingham

Lois A. Gillingham, 89, formerly of McKeesport and Monroeville, died Monday June 12, 2017. She was born October 29, 1927 in Christy Park and was the daughter of the late A. Ross Gillingham Sr., and the late Carrie Shaffer Gillingham. Lois was a very active member of the Mount Vernon Community Presbyterian Church in Elizabeth Township.  She was a retired Ticket Agent for the former TWA airlines and worked there for over  40 years. She hated BINGO. She is survived by her nieces, Carol (Lowell) Piekert, Patty (Dennis) Mooney, and Carolyn (Tom) Getsie, nephew, Tom (Joe Levy) Gillingham, great-nieces, Megan (Peter) Moen, and their children Zach and Emily, Carrie (Chris) Gergley and their son Carson, Sarah (Daniel) Surovchak and their daughter, Emery Grace,  and Katy Getsie, and great nephews, Scott and Brian Getsie and Adam Kinney. She was preceded in death by her cherished siblings and their spouses: Jane (Tom) Turner and A. Ross (Dee) Gillingham, Jr. and her niece, Janet Turner. There is no visitation. A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 24 at 1:00pm at Mt Vernon Community Presbyterian Church.
