Lilly A. Bennett

Lilly A. Bennett, 84, of Elizabeth passed away Saturday, March 15, 2025. She was born in Large on November 27, 1940 to the late Ernest Clyde and Mildred Gladys (Sayre) Gill. She was selfless - always worrying about others, and would take on the caretaker role anytime her friends and family needed her. She visited many of the US states and enjoyed traveling to places like Italy, England, Austria, Germany, and even Croatia with her husband. However, her biggest joy was her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren as they brought so much happiness into her heart. She loved making homemade bread and pies, and was always cooking. There wasn't anything she wouldn't do for her family. Lilly is survived by the love of her life, of 66 years, Ronald C. Bennett; her son, Bruce (Sandra) Bennett of Pittsburgh; daughters, Joan Walker of Elizabeth, and Jennifer (James) Winslow of Spring Branch, TX; grandchildren, Jessica Olechowicz (Chris) Zysk, Krista Olechowicz (Drew) Beasley, Kari Olechowicz (Matt) Marquart, Justin Winslow, Matthew (Alicia) Bennett, and Samantha Bilotti; 2 great-grandchildren, Greyson Bennett, and Alina Beasley; her siblings, Russell Gill, Mary Allan, and Sue (David) Fortney; as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Lilly is preceded in death by her granddaughter, Jordan Winslow; and siblings, Shirley McKnight, Lela Cindric, Charlotte Jeffers, Rodney Gill, Joseph Gill, Jean Kirkman, and her twin sister, Lyda Michael.
