James M. Surgeon, Jr.

James M. "Jim" Surgeon, Jr., 83, of Port Vue, passed away Friday, August 30, 2024 at home. He was born July 12, 1941 in McKeesport and was the son of the late James M. Surgeon, Sr. and the late Elizabeth C. (Duncan) Surgeon. He was the husband of 58 years to the late Carla Sue (Forgie) Surgeon, who passed away February 4, 2019. Jim worked as a steel worker at both US Steel and Copperweld. He was very active as secretary treasurer for the Copperweld Credit Union in Glassport and attended The Port Vue United Methodist Church. He loved vacationing in Rehoboth Beach. Jim was known for his meticulous care of his home, garden and yard and took great pride having his home in pristine condition. He will be greatly missed. He is survived by sons, Carl James (Linda Hoak) Surgeon and Thomas Scott Surgeon; daughter, Beth Ann (Martha Madeira) Surgeon; granddaughter, Jennifer (Dan) Kress; great-granddaughters, Charlotte and Madeline Kress; sister, Carol Miskimmin and nieces and nephews.
