Helen Marie McBurney

Helen Marie McBurney, 83, of Greensburg, passed away Thursday, November 28, 2024 at home surrounded by her loving family. Helen was the daughter of the late John and Mary (Bodner) Melcarski. She was a member of St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church, in McKeesport. Helen worked in the dietary department at UPMC McKeesport for over 25 years. She loved Christmas time, and watching Hallmark Christmas movies, especially her favorite “A Christmas Card. Her other favorite movie was “Heaven Is For Real”. She enjoyed scratch off cards, slots and going to the casino. She loved her family so much and will be greatly missed. She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Thomas Andrews, Jr. of McKeesport; daughter, Mary Colette Moonis , daughter-in-law, Jacqueline Carr, both of Greensburg, son-in-law, Fred McGuire of Selinsgrove, PA ; grandchildren, Jesse Moonis, Holly Moonis, Tiffany Reitz and Amber Weisenberger; as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, William E. “Billy” Wilson, daughter, Tammy McGuire, sister, Anna Stankowicz, nephew, Dennis Popovich and niece, Erica Powers.
