Gertrude Ida Blaha

Gertrude Ida (Schroter) Blaha, 92, of Elizabeth Township, died Sunday, March 25,  2018. She was born August 20, 1925 in Glassport and was the daughter of the late Karl and Martha (Bartz) Schroter and was the wife of the late John E. Blaha. Gertrude  was a member of the former St. John's Lutheran Church in Glassport. She had worked at the former Glass House in Glassport for many years. She had also worked at the Christy Park Works and Westinghouse in East Pittsburgh.  She is survived by her son, Karl (Carol) Blaha and daughter, Carol (William) Hageman of Elizabeth Township, grandchildren, John and Candace Blaha and Suzanne and Christine Hageman. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Hedwig Olson and Lota Kirschner. Friends are welcome Wednesday, March 28, 2018 from 10 am to 12 noon  at the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 6028 Smithfield Street, Boston, Elizabeth Township. (412) 751-5000 Drew J.
