Doris E. Bernhardy

Doris E. Bernhardy, 91, of Boston, Elizabeth Township, died Friday, November 24, 2017. She was born November 11, 1926 in McKeesport and was the daughter of the late Evan and Emma Edwards. Doris was a 2nd grade teacher at the former St. Michael's Catholic School and also worked at Shop N Save in Olympia. She is survived by daughters, Kathleen Bernhardy of Boston, and Linda (Richard) Kerr of Slippery Rock, sons, William D. Bernhardy of Pittsburgh, David (Nattie) Bernhardy of Highland, CA, and Dennis (Jane) Bernhardy of Dallas, PA., grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Doris Matthews and sisters, Ruth and Phyllis. There is no visitation. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, November 30, at 10 am in St. Patrick Parish, Christy Park. Private inurnment will be at Mount Vernon Cemetery in Elizabeth Township.
