Donald Ray Plants

Donald  Ray Plants, 90, of West Elizabeth, passed away Sunday, September 10, 2023. He was born September 24, 1932 in Jefferson Boro and was the son of the late Grover and Mary (Lewis) Plants. He was the husband of the late Joan Laverne (Rush) Plants who passed away December 29, 2012. Donald was the Proprietor of Shadlure Tackle in West Elizabeth and was also a Diesel Mechanic retiring from J & L Steel. He was a US Army Veteran and served in the Korean War. He is survived by his sons, Donald K. (the late Eileen) Plants of Rostraver and David Grover (Karen Lynn) Plants of West Elizabeth, daughter, Debbie (Wayne) Vallas of Haltom City, TX, grandchildren, Katie Plants, Lauren (Brandon) Bird, and Zachary (Morgan) Shimko, great-grandchildren, Liam Bird and Isaac Bird, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Daniel Ellis Plants, sisters, Verla Marraccini and Jane Hudak, and brother, Grover Plants, Jr. There is no visitation.
