Christine Melissa Whiteman

Christine Melissa Whiteman, 89 of Liberty Borough passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 31, 2018. She was born November 6, 1928 in Ardara and was the daughter of the late Charles and Nellie Hawk Pogue. Christine had a wonderful family. She loved life, her family, family events and traveling. She also had a love for animals. For many years Christine was employed as a legal secretary in Pittsburgh. She graduated from Trafford High School. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marshall Whiteman, son, Richard Whiteman, great grandson Michael Morningstar, two brothers, and three sisters. She is survived by her daughter, Janice (William) Hohn of Cranberry Twp, daughter-in-law, Lynanne Whiteman of Liberty Borough, granddaughter Jacquelyn Hobbs, grandson Scott Salvatore, sisters, Mary Eleanor Yelincic and Alma Stone, 6 great-grandchildren, 2 great- great grandchildren and many loving nieces and nephews.There is no visitation. A celebration of life service will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Christine’s honor to your local Animal Humane Society.
