Cheyenne A. Ignat

Cheyenne A. Ignat (McKelvey), 76, of Dravosburg, passed away Wednesday, October 11, 2023 after a long hard battle with cancer. She was born October 4, 1947 and was daughter of the late Jim and Betty McKelvey, of Dravosburg. Cheyenne was a hairdresser by trade and a volunteer by nature. She was a life member at the Dravosburg Volunteer Fire Department No. 1, a board member at the Dravosburg Housing Association, an active member at Holy Name Church in Duquesne, and involved in many different cancer charities. Cheyenne spent her life doing for others, she was the epitome of a lover and a fighter. She was “fondly” known as the Boss Lady, and she took that title very seriously. She wanted to have her hand in everything and help out anyway she could. To anyone who met Cheyenne along the way, she made you feel you meant as much to her as she meant to you. We will all remember her as Larger than Life! Cheyenne is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, Robert "Bobby" Ignat; her daughters Diane (Steve) Potucek and Debbie (Tarey) Butner; 8 grandchildren; one great grandchild; brothers and sisters, Jay (Diane) McKelvey, LaVerne (Billy) Banks, Dasha Hoover, Michael (Cheryl) McKelvey, Red Mac (Susie) McKelvey, of Dravosburg, and Ricky McKelvey, of White Oak and her godson Gary Lanning. In addition to many cousins, nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews, who loved her so very much. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Tomi Tarr McKelvey.
