Chester Charles Mazur, 89, of White Oak, passed away at home on Friday, October 25, 2019. He was born July 16, 1930 in McKeesport and was the son of the late John and Sophie (Warholak) Mazur. He was a was a member of Corpus Christi Parish, White Oak AARP, White Oak American Legion and the Friday Night Bowling League. Chester was a US Navy Veteran serving during the Korean War. For his service he received the Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal and the Navy Occupation Medal. He is survived by his wife, Frances (Kersey-Berg) Mazur, son, Eric (Sandra) Mazur of Utica, NY, daughters, Darol (Thomas) Verenna of Harrison City and Mary (David) Krzan of Cranberry Township, brother, Leo (Anna Marie) Mazur of Harrison City, grandchildren, Nichole, Jason and Zachary Mazur, Eryka and Marlayna Verenna, Alexandra Krzan, Alisia Skipper and Kristen Sommers, great-grandchildren, Jamison and Jake Mazur, and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by brothers, Stanley Olszewski and Edward Mazur and sisters, Helen Mazur and Adella Komaromy.
