BobbiJo Bernadowski-Bickerton, 55, passed away peacefully on March 31, 2024, in her home after a three-year battle with cancer. She was born in the winter of 1968, in Washington, PA, to Frank (Bernie) and the late MaryGrace Bernadowski. She spent her early years in California, PA and later called Virginia and Pennsylvania home.

BobbiJo was a beacon of light in our lives, always ready to lend a helping hand and offer unwavering support to those in need. Originally from California, PA, BobbiJo touched the hearts of everyone she met with her kindness, warmth, and infectious smile. Her strength and courage throughout her illness inspired all who knew her, earning her the title of a true warrior. She is now reunited in eternal peace with her beloved mother, whom BobbiJo adored dearly. Though she may no longer be with us in person, her spirit will forever live on in our hearts, and her legacy of love and compassion will continue to guide us. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

In addition to her father, BobbiJo is survived by her husband, Tom; son, Matthew Bernadowski (Woodbridge, VA); children, Joey Martin (Elizabeth, PA), Abby Bickerton (McKeesport, PA), and Torie Bickerton (Elizabeth, PA); sister, Katie Knapp (Virginia Beach, VA), and many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and special friends.

Family and friends are invited to join in celebrating BobbiJo’s life on Saturday, April 13, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at St Michael’s Catholic Church - Saints Joachim and Anne Parish (101 McLay Drive, Elizabeth, PA). Following mass, at Bobbi’s request, a cookie reception will be held in the Fellowship Hall. Interment will take place at a private family ceremony at Round Hill Cemetery with arrangements being handled by Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a Memorial Fund to assist the family with funeral expenses (https://tinyurl.com/BJBFund)
