Blair William Twale, 88, of Greenock, passed away on Saturday, April 5, 2025 at home. He was born on January 19, 1937 in Greenock and was the son of the late Harry W. and Edna (Ruth) Twale. Blair was the loving husband of 57 years to the late Carolyn (Bales) Twale who passed away on October 3, 2018. He was a member of Boston United Methodist Church and was a life member of the Elizabeth Township Volunteer Fire Co. (formerly Greenock) He was a US Army Veteran and a member of the Elizabeth Township Sportsmans club. Blair enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, woodworking and model trains. He is survived by his son, Paul (Tina) Twale and daughter, Sherri (Arden) McAlpine of Greenock, grandchildren, Mark (Allison) McAlpine, Eric (Deanna DeCenzo) McAlpine, Brandon (Vivian) Twale, Scott McAlpine, Ashlyn (Trevin) Keteles, and Faith Twale, one great-grandson, Mikko Keteles and his beagle Copper. Friends are welcome Wednesday, April 9, 2025 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 6028 Smithfield Street, Boston, Elizabeth Township (412) 751-5000 Drew J. Gilbert, Director. Service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Thursday at 11 AM with the Rev. Paul Walter, officiating. Private inurnment will be in Peace Lutheran Cemetery, Greenock. In lieu of flowers, with Blair being an Army Veteran, past volunteer fire fighter, has adopted dogs from local shelters and Sherri's occasional driver for EF Meals on Wheels, please consider making a donation to your favorite local charity.
