Betty F. Davis

Betty (Frantz) Davis, 97, of Upper St. Clair, formerly of Pleasant Hills, died Sunday, September 2, 2018. She was born May 8, 1921 in Clairton and was the daughter of the late Albert and Elizabeth Ann (Sharrocks) Frantz. She was the wife of the late Charles Allen Davis who died January 17, 2017. They were married for 69 years. Betty was a member of Hamilton Presbyterian Church and was a former member of Pleasant Hills Community Presbyterian Church. She was a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh and was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority there. She taught school in the Clairton School District for 5 years and volunteered with Meals on Wheels for over 20 years. Betty enjoyed many things including dogs, baking, cooking, feeding the birds, book clubs, groups at church, and bridge clubs. Betty and her late husband Allen enjoyed their international experiences living in Valencia, Madrid and Bilbao. She is survived by her son, Allen (Connie) Davis of Greenville and daughter, Ann (Mark) South of North Huntingdon, grandson, Wesley (Rebecca) Davis and great-grandson, Samuel G. Davis of Fairfax, VA. She was preceded in death by her brother, Wesley and his wife Louise Frantz. Funeral service for Betty and Allen Davis will be held in the funeral home chapel on Saturday at 12:00 noon with Pastor Julia Fraser,  officiating. Interment will follow in Jefferson Memorial Park, Pleasant Hills.
