Albert Edward Janus

Albert Edward Janus, 71, of West Mifflin, passed away Saturday, December 10, 2022 at home. He was born January 12, 1951 in McKeesport and was the son of the late Edward and Helen (Kapolka) Janus. He was the husband of the late Stephenie "Sue" (Lips) Janus who passed away November 21, 2014. Albert had worked for the former Guardian Glass in West Elizabeth, Rimoldi of America, and US Steel Homestead Works. He was a US Army veteran and had served during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Elizabeth Township Ex-Serviceman's Association in Boston. Albert enjoyed Fishing, Hunting, Camping and watching a wide variety of TV shows. He was an avid Pittsburgh Steeler and Penguin fan. Albert also enjoyed cooking, especially making his famous "Alby Burgers." He is survived by his sisters, Nancy E. (Rob) Troy of Elizabeth Township and Sandra (Ralph) Bennett of Jacksonville, FL, special niece, Carley (fiancée James) Kaercher, and many other nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, John "Jay" Janus.
