Adella A. Kitchen

Adella A. Waszczak Kitchen Adella completed her journey on earth and God called her home to be with Jesus on Friday, August 9, 2019.  Born December 17, 1927 in McKeesport, Adella was a daughter of the late Joseph and Caroline (Englot) Waszczak; and wife of the late Ralph C. Kitchen, of McKeesport. Adella, a devoted wife, mother, Grandma/Nana and GiGi, was a member Journey by Grace Free Methodist Church, Belle Vernon.  She will be remembered for her legendary hugs, hearty handshakes, instantaneous smile and asking everyone she met: “Do you know Jesus?”  Adella is survived by her children, Denise Patton and husband, Alan, of Greenock; Ralph Kitchen and wife, Pauline (Kotun), of Bethel Park; Timothy Kitchen and wife, Linda (Platt), of White Oak; and DeLee Kitchen of McKeesport.  She was loving Grandma/Nana to Kristen A. Patton Brautigam and husband, David; Dr. Karianne D. Patton Bilsky, and husband, Timothy; Corey Kitchen, Amanda Kitchen, Bradley Kitchen, Alexis Kitchen, Dr. Kara Kitchen Shaffer and husband, Ben, and Andrea Kitchen, RN.  She was the special GiGi to her two great-grandsons, Silas Bilsky and Titus Bilsky.   She was also a dedicated animal lover who owned many pets during her lifetime.  In addition to her parents and husband, Adella was preceded in death by siblings, Laura, Josephine, Joseph, John, Edward, Charles, Stanley, Leo and Donald.  Adella had requested no viewing or funeral; in lieu of flowers, she requested that donations be made online to Shekinah Western Ranch Camp at www.yourcamp.org; or mailed to 371 Crackerjack Road, Monongahela, PA 15063.
