Mary Lou Maurer, 77, of McKeesport, died Wednesday March 15, 2017. She was born April 2, 1939 in Pittsburgh and was the daughter of the late Robert S. and Louise T. Heil Harding. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Duquesne. Mary Lou worked for the McKeesport Elks and the Youghiogheny Country Club in Elizabeth Township. She is survived by daughters, Theresa (Frank) Yanosky of West Newton and Mary Obley of McKeesport, son, Lester E. Maurer, III., of McKeesport, sisters, Joanne Denne of West Mifflin, Dorothy (Glenn) Schmidt of Linesville, and Linda Harding of Liberty Borough, brothers, Robert R. Harding of McKeesport and Warren J. (Kathy) Harding of Chapel Hill, grandchildren, Melissa Brieck, Danielle Derdich McLaughlin, Jessica and Matthew Yanosky, Melanie Cerro, Myles Kelley, and Dustin and Dylan Obley, great-grandchildren, Kayla, Kirsten and Kylie McLaughlin, and Averyann Kelley, former husband, Lester E. Maurer, Jr., of Versailles, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, James E. Maurer who died August 4, 1988. There is no visitation. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
