Loretta Lewis Bittle

Loretta Lewis Bittle, 75, of Elizabeth Township, died Monday February 20, 2017 peacefully at home. She was born December 7, 1941 in Elizabeth and was the daughter of the late Daniel and Anna Mae Thornton Lewis. Loretta was a member of St. Michael's Parish in Elizabeth Township and was a teacher for over 30 years for Elizabeth Forward School District. She is survived by her husband, William Thomas Bittle, son, Michael W. Bittle of Nashville, TN, daughter, Lee Ann (David) Szuhoza and Jessica and Jenna of Carroll Twp., sisters, Maureen Lewis of Sarasota, FL, and Diane Rice of Delaware, OH, nieces, nephews, and her granddog, Athena. She was preceded in death by her infant brother. There is no visitation. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Michael's Parish on Saturday April 1, 2017 at 9:30 am with The Rev. Thomas A. Wagner, officiating. Burial will be private. Arrangements are by the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 6028 Smithfield Street, Boston, Elizabeth Township (412)751-5000 Drew J.
