Anna Bell Shaner

Anna Bell Shaner 81, of New Stanton formerly of Penn Hills, died Wednesday, January 27, 2016 in William Penn Care Center. She was born May 24, 1934 in New Kensington and was the daughter of the late Daniel and Ida Negley Swanger. Anna Bell was a bookkeeper for the former Tile City in Wilkinsburg and had also worked for Saint Bartholomew Parish, Penn Hills. She is survived by her son, Richard D. "Rick" (Linda) Shaner of North Huntingdon and daughter, Donna Jean (Rocco) Ventrice of New Stanton, grandchildren, Christina (Anthony) Nicassio of Plum, Gregory (Natalie) Ventrice of Salem Township, and Danielle (Corey) Knapik of North Augusta, SC, great-grandchildren, Colten, Carter, and Kailey Knapik and Rocco and Giuliana Ventrice, step-grandchildren, Anthony and Joseph Nicassio, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by brothers, Eugene, William, and Joseph Swanger. Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 6, from 10 am to 11am in the Findley C. Wylie Funeral Home, 11311 Frankstown Road, Penn Hills. Service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 11:00 AM. Luncheon to follow.
