Edward A. "Eddie" Shablik, 73, of North Huntingdon, died Monday, January 4, 2016. He was born July 21, 1942 in McKeesport and was the son of the late Edward Shablik, Sr., and the late Helen Nagy Shablik. He was proprietor of Eddie's Auto Service in McKeesport for over 50 years. He was a Corvette owner and enthusiast and was a member of the Corvette Club of Western Pa, the National Corvette Restorers Society and was a life member of the National Corvette Museum. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus and a former member of the White Oak Lions Club. Eddie will be sadly missed by his family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Karen E. Kaylor Shablik, daughter, Kimberley Shablik Irvine of North Huntingdon, and son, Jason (Yamini Kagal) Shablik of Atlanta, Georgia. He was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Steven Irvine. Friends are welcome Friday January 8 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM, at the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 6028 Smithfield Street, Boston, Elizabeth Township. Service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Saturday January 9, at 10 AM., with The Rev. Matthew Elanjileth, officiating. Interment will follow at the Irwin Union Cemetery, North Huntingdon.
