Evelyn Marie Waldbaum, 95, of Liberty Borough, died Wednesday, November 18, 2015. She was born February 13, 1920 in Port Vue and was the daughter of the late John and Katherine Jacobansky Gulaskey. She was the wife of the late George W. Waldbaum, who passed away February 1, 1964. Evelyn was a member of the McKeesport Hospital Ladies Auxiliary and the Liberty Borough Senior Citizens. She had worked for the former Kesslings Drug Store and Liberty Super Dollar. Evelyn was also a licensed Hair Dresser and loved playing cards with her family and friends. She is survived by her daughters, Janet Sandmeyer of Elizabeth Township, Joyce Shenefelt of North Huntingdon, and Judy (Howard) Schilling of Houston, TX, son, George A. Waldbaum of Layton, grandchildren, Allan (Dana) Sandmeyer, Jayme (John) Cibik, Jade Schilling, David Shenefelt, and Nicole (Allen) Dougherty, 6 great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Helen Hickey and Mary Dashofy, brothers, John and Joseph Gulaskey and son-in-law, Allan Sandmeyer. Friends are welcome from 2 - 4 and 6-8 pm on Friday, November 20, 2015at the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 6028 Smithfield Street, Boston, Elizabeth Township. Service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Saturday, November 21, at 1:00 pm with The Rev. Ed Pope, officiating. Private burial will be in the Jefferson Memorial Park, Pleasant Hills.
