Aretta Madeline Greenawald

Aretta Madeline Greenawald, 79, of Elizabeth Township, died Tuesday, November 10, 2015 at home. She was Born February 22, 1936 in Jacobs Creek and was the daughter of the late Belmont and the late Della Hagarman Stinebaugh. She was the wife of the late Ronald Daniel Greenawald who died July 7, 2003. She was a member of the Church of the Nazarene and the Women's Prayer Group there. Aretta was a former Bell Telephone Co., Telephone Operator in West Newton. She is survived by her son, Ronald Scott Greenawald of Pitcairn and daughter, Sherri and her husband John Peters of Stephens City, VA, sister, Ruth and her husband Edwin Brooks of Masury, OH, grandchildren, Amber Nicole and her husband John Tiernan and Ronald Daniel Greenawald, great-granddaughters, Paige and Madilyn, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Kenneth and Fredrick Stinebaugh. Friends are welcome Friday, November 13 from 4-8 PM at the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 6028 Smithfield Street, Boston, Elizabeth Township. Service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Saturday, November 14, at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at the Round Hill Cemetery, Elizabeth Township.
