Margaret Helen Rhodes

Margaret Helen Rhodes, 86, of Lincoln Borough, died Wednesday, November 4, 2015. She was born November 23, 1928 in McKeesport and was the daughter of the late Steven and Margaret Kolasaric Santa. She was the wife of the late Leonard Joseph Rhodes, Sr., who died January 11, 2003. She was a member of St. Mark Parish, Liberty Borough where she was also a member of the Ladies of Charity, and the St. Mark's Food Bank. She was a former CCD Teacher at the former St. Eugene's Catholic Church and was a former Girl Scout Troop Leader in Lincoln Borough. Margaret had worked for the former Westinghouse Transportation Division in West Mifflin. She is survived by her daughters, Patricia (Chris) Konze of O'Fallon, IL, and Mary Jo Stehle of Liberty Borough, son, Leonard "Lenny" (Susan) Rhodes of Port Vue, sister, Louise Craven of Port Vue, grandchildren, Geoff Rhodes, Frank D'Angelo, Melissa Voytko, Christopher Konze, Jr., Meggie Hostiuck, and Kristan Koontz, great-grandchildren, Codi, Jordan, Alexis, Mason, Addisyn, Lila, Christopher, Collin, Hailey, and Oliver, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Andrew and Steven Santa. Friends are welcome from 2-4 and 6-8, Friday, November 6 at the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 6028 Smithfield Street, Boston, Elizabeth Township. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the St. Mark Catholic Parish, Liberty Borough on Saturday, November 7, at 11 am. with The Rev. Gerald Mikonis, officiating. Entombment will follow at the St. Joseph Cemetery Mausoleum, North Versailles. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association at 412-261-5040.
