Thomas "Tom" D. Hyduk, 79, of North Huntingdon, passed away Sunday, October 18, 2015 in Westmoreland Regional Hospital. He was born May 13, 1936 in Detroit, Michigan, and was the son of the late Andrew C. and Rita (Flaherty) Hyduk. He was husband of the late Eileen Tomko Hyduk who died May 11, 2011. They were married for 52 years. Tom was a member of the Penns Woods United Methodist Church where he served as a Trustee and was also a member of the Penns Woods Civic Association. He served in the US Army with the Military Police Detachment in New York. Tom was retired from Scozio's Shop 'n Save where he was a night turn manager. He is survived by his daughter, Stephanie and granddaughter, Dana of North Huntingdon, sister-in-laws, Dorothy Hyduk of White Oak Sandra Hyduk of Summerville, SC, and Carol McGinty of McKeesport, nieces, nephews, and the family dog, Daisy. He was also preceded in death by brothers, Andrew J. Hyduk and Henry J. Hyduk. Friends are welcome Tuesday, October 20 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 6028 Smithfield Street, Boston, Elizabeth Township. Funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Tuesday, October 20, at 8 PM with The Rev. Kathleen Schoeneck, officiating. Military Honors will follow.
