Albert J. Kovacic

Albert J. Kovacic, 89, of Elizabeth Township, died Saturday, October 10, 2015. He was born March 19, 1926 in McKeesport and was the son of the late Matt and Anna Kolich Kovacic. Albert was a member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church, and was US Navy Veteran of WWII. He was a retired foreman at the former US Steel National Tube Works. He played football for McKeesport High School from 1941-43. He is survived by his wife, Antonette Conforto Kovacic, daughters, Sueanne Spors of Clearwater, FL, and Margaret (John) Byers of Irwin, sons, Andrew (Marilyn) Keteles of Churchill, Joseph (Virginia) Keteles of Export, John (Amy) Linn of Pittsburgh, F. William Linn of McKeesport, and Martin (Beverly) Linn of North Versailles, 18 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Staci Linn, and brothers, George, Edward and Stephen Kovacic. Private visitation took place Monday October 12 at the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 6028 Smithfield Street, Boston, Elizabeth Township. Service with Military Honors followed at the St. Joseph Cemetery, North Versailles. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project at 1-855-448-3997.
