Anne E. Stencil, 100, of Boston, died Saturday, October 10, 2015 in Kane Regional Center, McKeesport. She was born April 10, 1915 in Madison, WI, and was the daughter of the late Louis and Mary Volk Rack and was the loving wife of the late Joseph R. Stencil who died August 2, 1979. Anne was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church of Boston, the Knights of Pythian Sisters, and the Elizabeth Township Ex-serviceman's Association. She had worked for AVON for 23 years. Anne was affectionately known as "Mum-Mum". She loved life but most of all adored her precious family. "Mum-Mum" loved her Polka music, her cozy Rack homestead, and always had a kind word with a beautiful smile for everyone she met. She was also an avid Pittsburgh Steeler, Pirates, and Penguins fan. She was a Shining Star who will forever be a legacy to her family. She is survived by her loving only child, Dolores (John) DiCristofaro of Tamarac, FL, dear and devoted sister, Emily Korbar of Boston, her adoring grandchildren, Dr. Dean (JoAnn) DiCristofaro of Latrobe, and Jill (Steve) Pincince of Tamarac, FL, her caring great-grandchildren, Alysa DiCristofaro, and Chelsea and Lucas Pincince, and special nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her wonderful brothers, Luke, Vic and Eddie Rack. Friends are welcome Tuesday October 13 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 6028 Smithfield Street, Boston, Elizabeth Township. Service will be held in the funeral home chapel, Wednesday October 14 at 11 AM with The Rev. Dr. Rudy Mayak, officiating. Interment will follow at the Mount Vernon Cemetery, Elizabeth Township.
