Evalyn Lucille Huston

Evalyn Lucille Rose Huston, 90, of Elizabeth Township, died Wednesday, September 30, 2015 at home. She was born June 4, 1925 in Elizabeth Township and was the daughter of the late Fred A. and Loraine Duncan Rose. She attended Round Hill Presbyterian Church. Evalyn was a retired Elementary School Teacher and had taught in the South-Western City Schols in the Grove City, Ohio, area for 34 years. Evalyn was highly honored by the schools, the city, and the state, including the governor, for her dedication to teaching. She is survived by her husband, Lloyd Huston, sisters, Wilda E. Harris of Elizabeth Township, Marion McCarter of Kokomo, IN, and Louise Lindberg of Christy Park, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by sisters, Margaret Lofgren, and Lorraine Laird, and brothers, Charles, Allen, James and Fred Rose. Friends are welcome Sunday October 4 from 4-8 PM at the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 6028 Smithfield Street, Boston, Elizabeth Township. Service will be held Monday October 5 at the Mount Vernon Community Presbyterian Church at 11 AM, Rev. Dr. Lowell Meek, officiating.
