Maggie M. Patterson

Maggie M. "Boots" Patterson, 85, of McKeesport, died Friday, September 18, 2015. She was born December 16, 1929 in Fort Grand, WV, and was the daughter of the late John H. and Leona M. McGinnis Metts. She was a member of the Christy Park United Methodist Church and was a retired Hostess, Chef and Caterer. She had worked for the former Candyette and Penn McKee Hotel in McKeesport and the former Chef Paul's Restaurant in White Oak. Maggie was a sponsor for several foster children and was also a volunteer for Exceptional Adventures. She is survived by her daughters, Mae Louise (Richard) Newton of Mansfield, MA, and Louetta (Dennis) Romanchak of McKeesport, brother, Ray (Harriet) Metts of Greenock, sister, Edna O'Bruba of Dade City, FL, eight grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, a great-great-grandson, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brothers, John and Harold Metts and sisters, Mildred Barger and Eleanor Barowich. Friends are welcome Monday September 21from 2-5:00 PM, at the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 6028 Smithfield Street, Boston, Elizabeth Township. Service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Monday September 21 at 5:00 PM. Private burial will be in the Round Hill Cemetery, Elizabeth Twp.
