Richard "Rich" Arthur Whiteman, 53, of Liberty Borough, died Monday, August 10, 2015. He was born May 31, 1962 in McKeesport and was the son of Christine Melissa Pogue Whiteman of Liberty Borough and the late Marshall E. Whiteman. Rich was a member of Congregation of Yahshua Messiah, Walk in the Word Ministries and was a former member of New Hope Assembly of God. He was a former Produce Manager, Teacher's Aid and Floral Designer. Rich was an avid gardener and outdoors person. Even with all of his disabilities, he saw the weeds in the flower garden this week, and "NEEDED" to go pull them, and he did. He is survived by his wife , Lynanne Edythe Crosby Whiteman, sister, Janice (Bill) Hohn of Cranberry Twp, mother-in-law, Anna Edythe Crosby of Greenock, brother-in-law, Glenn Crosby of Versailles, a niece, Jackie (Jeff) Hobbs and a nephew, Scott Salvatore. Friends are welcome Thursday, August 13 from 2-4 and 6-8:00 PM, at the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 6028 Smithfield Street, Boston, Elizabeth Township. Services will be held in the funeral home chapel on Friday August 14 at 11:00 AM, with Brother Robert Young, Rev. Richard Countryman and Pastor John Sethman, officiating.
