Robert John Rendulic, 86, of Elizabeth Twp., died Saturday, August 8, 2015. He was born November 15, 1928 in McKeesport and was the son of the late Frank and Emma Roper Rendulic. He was the husband of the late Eugenia Rita Ziccarelli Rendulic who died March 21, 1999. He was a member of St. Michael Parish in Elizabeth Twp, and was a member of the Church Choir and the Requiem Choir, there. He was also in the choir of the former Sacred Heart Catholic Church and St. Perpetua Catholic Church. Robert enjoyed music and was a member of the Elizabeth Forward Community Chorus. He played the Brach, Trembita, and Prima with several area ethnic bands including Novi glas and the Tamburtzans. He was retired from the McKeesport Candy Co., and was a US Army Veteran serving during the Korean War on special assignment to the US Air Force in Korea. He is survived by his daughters, Irene "Renee" C. Ryan of Elizabeth Twp, and Sheryl "Sherrie" Rios of San Antonio, TX, son, Robert "Rob" (Mary Lou) Rendulic of West Newton, brother, Donald (Mildred) Rendulic of Murrysville, sister, Josephine (Mark) Nikolich of Finleyville, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Scott Rendulic who died December 15, 1972, brothers, Frank, Steve, and Edward Rendulic, and sisters, Ann Francetic, Emma Benson and Irene Rendulic. Friends are welcome Tuesday, August 11 from 2-4 and 6-8:00 PM at the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., Boston, Elizabeth Township. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the St. Michael Parish on Wednesday, August 12, at 10:00 AM. Interment with Military Honors will follow at the Sacred Heart Cemetery, Port Vue.
