Kathryn Rose Nelson

Kathryn Rose Nelson, 73, of Elizabeth Twp, died Thursday, June 25, 2015 at home. She was born February 5, 1942 in Smithdale and was the daughter of the late John J. and Louise M. Barrick Gasda. She was a member of St. Michael Parish, Elizabeth Twp, and Olympia Lifespan. She is survived by her sons, Evan B. (Stacey Leverett) Nelson of Cumberland, RI, Richard M. (Karl Meingossner) Nelson of Media, and Timothy C. (Michele) Nelson of Mount Vernon, brother, John J. (Betty Lou) Gasda, Jr, of Liberty, sister, Patricia Ann Gasda of Elizabeth Twp, granddaughter, Lucia Hope Meingossner, step-granddaughter, Lauren Colaianni, 11 nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother, Michael Richard Gasda. Friends are welcome Sunday, June 28 from 2-4 and 6-8:00 PM at the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 6028 Smithfield Street, Boston, Elizabeth Township. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the St. Michael Parish on Monday, June 29, at 11:30 AM with The Rev. Thomas Wagner, officiating.
