Henry Frank Greenawald, 90, of Elizabeth Twp, died Thursday, June 11, 2015 at home. He was born November 24, 1924 in Versailles Twp. and was the son of the late Henry K. and Bridget "Freda" Svetz Greenawald. He was the husband of the late Margaret Eileen Kelly Greenawald who died September 26, 2014. They were married for 68 Years. Henry was a member of St. Michael Parish, Elizabeth Twp, and was also a Charter Member of the Knights of Columbus there. He was the last surviving Charter Member of the Central Vol. Fire Co, in Elizabeth Twp. Henry was a heavy equipment operator and retired from the Elizabeth Twp. Road Dept. He is survived by his sons, Henry W. (Theresa) Greenawald, William J. (Grace) Greenawald, and Robert T. (Beverly) Greenawald of Elizabeth Twp, daughter, Peggy A. (Frederick) Padget of Vernon, CT, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Diane Greenawald, granddaughter, Michele Diane Padget, brothers, Theodore, Ronald and William Greenawald, and sisters, Eleanor Tomlinson and Betty Jane Morosko. Friends are welcome from 2-4 and 6-8:00 PM, Sunday June 14, and Monday June 15 from 9-10:00 AM, at the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 6028 Smithfield Street, Boston, Elizabeth Township. Service will be held in the funeral home chapel Monday June 15 at 10:00 AM with The Rev. Thomas Wagner, officiating. Interment will follow at the Round Hill Cemetery, Elizabeth Twp.
