Marlene Harding Mayfield, 74, of Elizabeth Twp., died Tuesday, May 19, 2015. She was born July 27, 1940 in McKeesport and was the daughter of the late Walter Harding and the late Margaret Makkay Harding. She was a member of Central Highlands Community United Methodist Church, Elizabeth Twp., and the United Methodist Women. She was also member and vice-president of the Garden Club of McKeesport and served on the McKeesport High School Class of 1957 Reunion Committee. Marlene loved gardening, cross stitching, quilting and needlepoint. She was a doll maker and an avid Americana crafter. She is survived by her husband, of 58 years, Richard A. "Dick" Mayfield, daughter, Pamela J. (Ronald) Judy of Penn Twp., sons, Brian K. (Tracey) Mayfield of Carmichaels, and Richard A. (Carol) Mayfield, Jr., of Rostraver, brother, Richard (Charlene) Harding of Michigan City, IN, step-mother, Dolores Harding of Liberty Borough, grandchildren, Ronald, Nicholas, Marissa, Crystal (Matthew), Lisa (Zachary), Ryan, Jermey, and Nathan, great-grandchildren, Mia, Alexis, Levi, Emma, Addilynn, and Casen, sister-in law, Patricia (James) Woodle of Leesburg, FL, nieces and nephews. Friends are welcome Friday, May 22 from 2-4 and 6-9:00 PM at the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 6028 Smithfield Street, Boston, Elizabeth Township. Service will be held in Central Highlands Community United Methodist Church on Saturday, May 23, at 10:00 AM with The Rev. William Starr, officiating. Interment will follow at the Round Hill Cemetery, Elizabeth Twp. Condolences may be made at gilbertfuneralhomeandcrematory.com
