Donald J. Collage, Sr.

Donald Jean "Joe" Collage, Sr. 81, of Elizabeth Twp., died Thursday, April 30, 2015. He was born July 18, 1933 in Pittsburgh and was the son of the late Adolph and Ella Mae Northrup Collage. Joe was retired as a heavy equipment mechanic from the former US Steel Duquesne Works and was a USMC Veteran serving during the Korean War on the USS Bennington. He was a member of the Mon Valley Leathernecks, Elizabeth Twp. Ex-serviceman's Association, Versailles American Legion and AARP. Joe was an avid golfer, hunter and fisherman. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Mary Jane Cordisco Collage, sons, Richard Dean (Jean) Collage of Elizabeth Twp., Donald Jean (Cheryl) Collage of Ridgeley, WV, and Denis Larry Collage of Fort Lauderdale, FL, daughter, Kimberly Joan Collage of Boston, grandchildren, Jeffrey, Stephen, Richard, Rachel, Karalee, Kaelin, and Kelli, great-grandson, Quinton, and a brother, Brian Collage of Elrama. He was preceded in death by his brother, Richard Dean Collage who was killed in action in the Korean War, and his sister, Mildred Wright . Visitation and funeral service with Military Honors took place Saturday May 2 in the chapel of the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 6028 Smithfield Street, Boston, Elizabeth Township.
