Gilbert "Gil" John Barrington, 77, of Pittsburgh, died Friday, April 24, 2015. He was born September 12, 1937 in London, England and was the son of the late Gilbert and Elisa Quiroz Bado. He was a retired Advertising Executive and had worked for the St. George Group, formerly Carlton Advertising in Pittsburgh. He was previously a Newscaster for the BBC and also hosted a morning talk show in Pittsburgh on Radio Station WYDD called Act I. Gil was a British Armed Forces Veteran. He was an admirer of Winston Churchill and an avid collector of Churchill memorabilia. He is survived by his treasured best friend and wife, Mary Ann Wolfe Barrington, a niece, Giselle Austin of London, England, special friends, Norman and Moria Cleary of Pittsburgh and many dear friends, neighbors, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his sister, Carmina. There is no visitation. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
