Ronald Clair George, 83, of Greenock, died Monday, April 20, 2015. He was born May 20, 1931 in Portage and was the son of the late Freeman and Melda Clair George. Ronald was a retired truck driver and worked for Teamsters Local 250. He was a US Army Veteran serving during the Korean War. He is survived by his wife, Nancy K. Brookmiller George, sons, Ernest George and Kenneth George of Port Vue, daughters, Rhonda Betzner of Chesapeake, VA., and Brenda Walk of Greenock, step-daughter, Tracy (Terry) Coulter of Port Vue, sister, Alma Jean Barton of Elizabeth Twp., grandchildren, Thomas Walk, Joey, Michael, Nathan and Makenzie George, Sonya (Neil) Hutchinson, Tina (Troy) LaLiberte, Jamie George, Jason (Niki) George, Kenneth Wesolowski and Patrick Coulter, 5 great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his step-daughters, Kelly Vickers and Marcy Gantt, and sisters, Virginia Kyne, Peggy Stoll, and Lois Lauffer. Friends are welcome Wednesday, April 22 from 2-4 and 6-8:00 PM at the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 6028 Smithfield Street, Boston, Elizabeth Township. Service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Thursday, April 23, at 10:00 AM with The Rev. William D. Heaton, officiating. Interment with Military Honors will follow at the Mt.
