Raymond Duane Clay, 86, of Versailles, died Friday, April 10, 2015. He was born July 1, 1928 in McKeesport and was the son of the late Samuel and Margaret Arbuckle Clay. He was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church, White Oak, and was a life member of Versailles Vol. Fire Co. Raymond had worked for the former Potter-McCune Co., where he was also the Union Steward. He had also worked for Wetterau in Belle Vernon. He is survived by his wife, Winifred Anglum Carnahan Clay, son, Gary Edward (Diane) Clay of Elkins, WV, and daughter, Janet Rae (Donald) Algeri of Elizabeth Twp, granddaughter, Samantha Rae Algeri of Elizabeth Twp., nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, William Clay and sister, Margaret Schuman. Friends are welcome Tuesday April 14 from 2-4 and 6-8:00 PM, at the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 6028 Smithfield Street, Boston, Elizabeth Township. Service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Wednesday April 15 at 10:00 AM, with The Rev. Deborah Kociban, officiating. Interment will follow at the Mount Vernon Cemetery, Elizabeth Twp.
