William C. Schadle, Jr.

July 20, 1940 — April 9, 2015

William C. "Bill" Schadle, Jr., 74, of Boston, died Thursday, April 9, 2015 at home. He was born July 20, 1940 in McKeesport and was the son of the late William Clyde and Henrietta Schultz Schadle. Bill was a member of the First United Methodist Church-McKeesport, the Eleventh Ward Welfare Association, CFU Lodge 146 in Versailles, GBU Club in Duquesne, and AMVETS Post 6060 in North Braddock. He was a local roofer and handyman and was retired from Westinghouse-East Pittsburgh and was also a Industrial Truck Driver. Bill was a US Army Veteran. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Laura Corbin Schadle, daughters, Larna Louise (Daniel) Lindner of Oceanside, NY, Shannon Marie (Patrick) Bianchi of Boston, sons, William C. (Mika) Schadle, III., of North Huntingdon, and Brad Allen Schadle of Boston, grandchildren, Garrett Lee Schadle, Judge Kodi-Wolfe Wright, and Madeline Louise Lindner, sisters, Henrietta Hayden of White Oak, Diane Cerar of Boynton Beach, FL, and Sharon (Lloyd) MacIntosh of Coulter, aunt, Jean O'Hern of Philadelphia, uncle, Eugene Schultz of Spokane, WA, nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends are welcome Sunday, April 12 from 1-4 and 6-8:30 PM at the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 6028 Smithfield Street, Boston, Elizabeth Township. Service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Monday, April 13, at 8:30 AM with The Rev. Jody Dausey, officiating. Inurnment with Military Honors will follow at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project @ 412-471-0935. Condolences may be made at gilbertfuneralhomeandcrematory.com
