Eugene H. Plummer

Eugene H. "Gene" Plummer, 90, of Elizabeth Twp., died Monday, February 9, 2015. He was born December 10, 1924 in McKeesport and was the son of the late Harry and Martha Gretzuner Plummer. He was the husband of the late Twila M. Stegman Plummer who died February 15, 2014. Gene was a member of Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church, F & AM Duquesne McKeesport Lodge 731, the Scottish Rite of Pittsburgh, the Tall Cedars of Lebanon, and Syria Temple of Pittsburgh. He was a draftsman for Westinghouse Research Labs, Westinghouse Bettis, and the Curtiss-Wright Electro- Mechanical Corp., in Cheswick and retired after 44 years of service. He is survived by his brother, Ray Plummer of North Huntingdon, granddaughter, Tara Jordan of Lincoln, son-in-law, James R. Jordan of Sutersville, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Cynthia J. "Cindy" Jordan and brothers, Don and Jack Plummer. Friends are welcome Thursday, February 12 from 2-4 and 6-8:00 PM at the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., Boston, Elizabeth Township. Service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Friday, February 13, at 10:00 AM. with The Rev. Erin E. Evans, officiating. Interment will follow at the Mount Vernon Cemetery, Elizabeth Twp.
