Joseph C. Gregory, 96, of Elizabeth Twp., died Tuesday, February 3, 2015. He was born July 3, 1918 in Thompson, Fayette County, and was the son of the late Michael and Carolina Worik Gregory. He was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Christy Park, White Oak American Legion Post 701, AARP, the Mon Yough Friendship Club, and the Elizabeth Township Senior Citizens. Joseph was a retired Inspector for Westinghouse Bettis Atomic Plant with 40 years of service and was a US Army Veteran of WWII. He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Anna Petrick Gregory, son, Joseph M. Gregory and daughter, JoAnn Goretzka of Elizabeth Twp., grandchildren, Charles (Donna) Goretzka, Michael Goretzka, Amy (David) Ledgard, and Carol (Fiancée, Sam Bauccio) Rizzo, great-grandchildren, Danielle Ledgard, Chloe Goretzka and Carlie Goretzka, brother, John Gregory of Fredericktown, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Marovich, brother, Andrew Gregory, son-in-law, Carl B. Goretzka and granddaughter-in-law, Carrie Lynn Goretzka. Friends are welcome Thursday February 5 from 2-4 and 6-8:00 PM, at the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 6028 Smithfield Street, Boston, Elizabeth Township. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Patrick Catholic Church on Friday February 6 at 10:00 AM, with The Rev. Vincent P. Velas, officiating. Interment with Military Honors will follow at the Round Hill Cemetery, Elizabeth Twp. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Three Rivers Hospice, 1195 Jacks Run Road, White Oak, PA 15137. Condolences may be made at gilbertfuneralhomeandcrematory.com
